# Down To A Science — brand guide

## Identity
Full show name: Down To A Science. Short name: DTA Science. Use the short name naturally in host labels, section headings, and informal references; keep the full name in the logo and formal credits.

Use the supplied Light A orbital icon on dark backgrounds and Dark A on light backgrounds. The elliptical orbits enclose the Galang spiral. These are the client's selected, exact vector paths, not a newly invented mark. Never redraw, distort, mask, recolor, or substitute the core. Allow generous clear space. Originals and SHA-256 provenance are in brand-sources/ inside the kit.

## Typography
The outlined Down To A Science lettering uses Montserrat Regular (400), matching the thin Galang AI logo lettering. The official Galang brand guide names Montserrat, and the official outlined logo's letter geometry matches Montserrat Regular. This is separate from the website's locally hosted Outfit, used at light/regular weights. The new wording is typeset and outlined from the font; it is not copied Galang lettering and may have minor modern-font-version differences. SVG wordmarks require no installed fonts. Both fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License; licenses are included.

Use square corners on website panels, image frames, cards, and buttons. Keep the orbital icon’s original curves and geometry intact.

Keep copy brief, direct, and curious. Use strong headings and concrete questions. Describe Kevin as a scientist. Write the host bio and show descriptions in third person; keep credentials short and link to the full bio for more.

Landscape (1920 × 1080) and square (3000 × 3000) PNG/JPEG exports. Use this design for future episodes; the repository's docs/podcast-thumbnail-style.md records the canonical style. Imagegen-assisted composites, not untouched photographs. Source-photo reuse permission must be confirmed before publication.

PNG wordmarks are transparent, normally 3120 pixels wide; the outlined podcast overlay is 2340 pixels wide. Light artwork can appear blank against a white application canvas; place it on a dark background. SVG is the vector master. PNG works in Photoshop versions that cannot open SVG.
